If your child is in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, they have automatically received school meals when they were in school this year, but now we are back to learning from home, you may need to apply for Free School Meals, in order to qualify for the food vouchers to use in supermarkets.

If your child is in Year 3,4, 5 or 6 and your situation has changed, you may also be able to receive Free School Meals for your child.

Have a look at the list below and  visit the DMBC website to apply if you are eligible.

If you go down in the woods today………

Here is what Mrs Melady has made the classroom look like, to inspire you. The children have displayed their bear paintings. Yours at home may be on the fridge? Don’t they look wonderful? The  children have all enjoyed mixing brown with red, yellow and blue to paint their bears.

Good Afternoon from KS1 Crew

Hi Everyone,

Firstly let me give a ‘Shout Out’ to Paul who was our Yellow T Shirt winner on Friday.  Paul has been fabulous during our remote lessons, he is always eager to share his thoughts and it’s great that he keeps the conversation going.

Secondly the whole crew in KS1 would like to give out shout out to our pupils and parents who have persevered with remote learning.  We know that some of you have struggled with internet access and using technology (this includes me!). But the uptake to online learning has been fantastic.  Let’s keep this going.

Can I ask that you use the children’s Plover school emails when accessing Google Classroom and the live learning, other passwords will result in you not having permission to access.  I know we have spoken to some parents that are struggling with remote learning, if you feel you do need any further support please let us know usually we can get you up and running quickly.  Lastly, where possible we would advise you to try to access the live lessons as a teacher will talk you through each slide which can be easier for you.

Many thanks again,

Mrs Coward and the KS1 Crew

Monday’s maths

This week we are continuing learning about numbers to 15 but thinking about 1 fewer today. Lots of us are confident with 1 greater/1 more but not so confident with 1 fewer/1 less.
1 fewer means taking 1 away.
If you are able to complete the activities, make a number line and practice saying 1 less. Ask your adult to choose a number and you show and tell them 1 less.

This is the link to the video.
