Head of Schooladmin@ploverschool.co.uk
F2 Class Teacher & Assistant Head and leader of EYFS
I work mainly in Foundation Stage, teaching a Foundation 2 class. I have been teaching at Plover for over 20 years, starting when the school converted from a middle school to a primary school.
I enjoy being outside in my garden and I am able to do that at school too. I like to play musical instruments and can play the piano a little bit. I like to relax by exercising, going for walks and reading books on my Kindle. I also enjoy going to church and spending time with my friends. I like to investigate and find out about things.
My favourite food is liver and bacon casserole with mash and veg but I don’t like cauliflower cheese.
Year 4 Class Teacher & Assistant Head and Leader of LKS2
I studied German at Hull University and then began my teaching career in 1997 as a German, French and English Teacher in a Doncaster Secondary school. I had different roles at that school but then in 2015 I had the opportunity for a new challenge and I made the huge decision to move to Green Top school in 2015 and my life as a Primary School teacher began. I gained my SENDCO qualification in 2018.
I first came to Plover in January 2019, splitting my time between Plover school and Green Top. In September 2019 I moved full time to Plover and was thrilled to take up the role of Assistant Head, Year 3/4 Phase and Year 4 teacher.
As a mother of two teenage sons, much of my free time is spent standing at the side of a rugby pitch or basketball court, but when I do get some ‘me time’, I enjoy running, ‘body balance yoga’, reading and spending time with my family and friends.
Year 2 Class Teacher & Assistant Head / Leader of KS1
|I started at Plover in March 2020, in Year 6. I have been teaching for 9 years. I spent the first 4 years teaching Year 6 pupils, then moved into a mixed year 3 / 4 class. I moved into Senior Leadership in 2017 and completed my SENDCO qualification in 2018. I am really looking forward to my new role in Plover as Assistant Head Teacher and Phase Leader for KS1, where I will be teaching in Year 2.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends, especially looking after my new granddaughter. I love reading and recently I have started to enjoy gardening - but only when the sun shines!

I love going to watch Doncaster Rovers play as they are clearly the best football team in the world! I also really enjoy reading but I don’t always get as much time as I would like to do all of these things.
My final favourite thing to do is spend time with my family and friends. There is nothing better than spending time with them and enjoying time doing things together.
Year 3 Class Teacher
This year I am teaching in Year 3. This is my 9th year in teaching and I have worked across Key Stage One and Lower Key Stage 2 during this time.
When I am not at work, I love to shop. Though I love clothes, since buying my house and renovating it, I also really enjoy choosing things to go inside my house. One of my other favourite things to do is read books. I have a real passion for picture books and have lots in my collection! I am now trying to learn to love gardening (I have bought a National Trust membership to get me outside more) as well as trying to teach myself calligraphy! I also enjoy taking photographs and joining in with exercise videos on Youtube at home. I love to spend time with my friends and my family as much as I can and go out for tea with them
