Creating Faces

The children were able to name all the features on their faces.

What do we use our ears for? Where are our eyes? These were some of the questions children answered and discussed. They then chose in provision to create faces using different materials and medians. #LovePlover

Being creative

Do you know where your eyes are on your head? This was one of the questions that we answered today. Some of the children thought that they were at the very top but when we used our hands to slide down our faces we realised that they were in the middle.

The children created pictures of faces using different materials and media. Have a look at our creations.

Personal Timelines

We looked at some adorable photos of our crew as toddlers and babies. The children spoke about what they couldnā€™t do but can do now as a child. Having met a real life baby and toddler this week they came up with really good comparisons. #LovePlover

See how I have grown

We shared the story Once there were giants. We compared the baby and toddler pictures to the visitors we have had this week. The children then drew their own timeline and could say how they have grown and what they can do now.

See How Things Grow – Hook Week

In hook week so far the children have been enjoying exploring our provision areas and learning about our bodies, themselves and humans! Children have being creating body box models, giving baby baths, imaginative play in the home corner and making different body parts. #LovePlover

Toddler Visit

Today, we had the cutest visitor ever! Our children loved comparing and learning the difference between a baby and a toddler. They asked some fab questions to find out what our toddler Gracie can and canā€™t do. Thank you to Beth and Gracie, you brought so much joy to everyone in EYFS this morning! #LovePlover

Baby Visit

It was lovely having our special visitor yesterday! The children were in awe at Baby Yaya and asked some brilliant questions about what a baby needs. #LovePlover

Yaya came to visit

Thank you to Mekaal’s mummy for bringing her baby to visit us today. We have started our new expedition “See how things grow.” We started off today learning about what babies need and how they grow. Baby Yaya has milk but he doesn’t have food. He needs lots of cuddles and people to love him. Ask the children what they have learnt. They were very good at thinking of ideas.
