We have had even more awesome decorated egg entries today in Years 5/6. I am so impressed with the pictures I have been sent! Well done to those of you who won the overall prizes in your classes! I hope you enjoy your Easter eggs!
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter break and I can’t wait to see you all next term for our final expedition of the year. It’s going to be amazing! Stay safe everyone!
A huge shout out to everyone who contributed to Red Nose Day last week. We saw lots of crazy hair, crazy wear, awesome baking, drawing and fundraising contributions. Here are the 5/6 winners showing off their prizes! -Miss Blackham
Well done to those children who have entered the egg decorating competition so far in 5/6. I am absolutely loving your creations! Although I haven’t seen a Pug entry yet- I’m hoping I see one tomorrow! You still have until tomorrow to enter to be in with a chance to win a range of Easter eggs!
We have been working super hard this week to create our final product for our Expedition. The children have been working collaboratively all week to create 3 poems that perfectly represent our learning from our 3 Case studies. The results have been amazing and I am so proud of their use of figurative language! Well done 5W! We have also held a ‘design an egg’ competition for Easter. The deadline for this is Friday and winners will be announced in due course. Have a look at what some of the children created!
In years 5&6 we have been finishing our final product ready to be added to a plaque as a lasting legacy at Markham main memorial. The children have been working on a range of poems all with a focus on each case study. The poems are sounding great and we are in the final stages of critique. We can’t wait to share the finished product with you all! #LovePlover
Year 6 had an exciting opportunity this afternoon. They were given the chance to listen to a presentation by a number of students in Year 5 at Thorne Green Top Primary about their latest Expedition- why is evolution important to existence? We were so impressed at the quality of learning they shared with us and we loved having the opportunity to share our critiques! We found out so much and were extremely impressed!
