Eggcellant creations!

Well done to those children who have entered the egg decorating competition so far in 5/6. I am absolutely loving your creations! Although I haven’t seen a Pug entry yet- I’m hoping I see one tomorrow! You still have until tomorrow to enter to be in with a chance to win a range of Easter eggs!

This week in 5W

We have been working super hard this week to create our final product for our Expedition. The children have been working collaboratively all week to create 3 poems that perfectly represent our learning from our 3 Case studies. The results have been amazing and I am so proud of their use of figurative language! Well done 5W!
We have also held a ‘design an egg’ competition for Easter. The deadline for this is Friday and winners will be announced in due course. Have a look at what some of the children created!

Critiquing our final product!

In years 5&6 we have been finishing our final product ready to be added to a plaque as a lasting legacy at Markham main memorial. The children have been working on a range of poems all with a focus on each case study. The poems are sounding great and we are in the final stages of critique. We can’t wait to share the finished product with you all!

EYFS celebration

We have finished our expedition “Where do bears live?” We have learnt about bears, where they live, what they do, where they go and what they eat.

We celebrated with a teddy bears picnic.

Click on the picture. Have a look at the slides and videos of our learning. There are 3 to watch – Goldilocks, We’re going on a polar bear hunt and Bears bears bears bears.

We hope that you enjoy celebrating with us.

Critiquing our friends at Green Top’s final product!

Year 6 had an exciting opportunity this afternoon. They were given the chance to listen to a presentation by a number of students in Year 5 at Thorne Green Top Primary about their latest Expedition- why is evolution important to existence? We were so impressed at the quality of learning they shared with us and we loved having the opportunity to share our critiques! We found out so much and were extremely impressed!
