The launch date for our charity single is getting ever closer, and today we have been busy recording the video – like all good pop stars do!
Geoff came into school and recorded Year 3 and 4 singing the song. I was so impressed, as it has been a while since we last sang it – but it sounded fantastic.
I can’t wait for everyone to hear it and get the chance to buy/download it!
Wow! I am blown away by Frazer’s hard work today. He has produced a gorgeous write up of a science experiment he carried out. He was so proud of himself and so he should be!50 crew coins mate- well done!
We started hook week working as artists by drawing pictures of plague doctors. We started with a gallery walk, identifying notices, praises and wonders of the beautiful Year 5 pencil sketches they did earlier this term. We then created remember too’s and got to work on draft one of our artwork. I can’t wait to see the finished pieces that will be displayed on our phase beautiful work display! Check our class blogs throughout the week to see the finished pieces!
We have had a great day looking round the gardens and Hall at Brodsworth. Despite the rain, we tired the gardens completing our sculpture trail.
Then we followed the treasure hunt round the great houses learning about all the connections to the slave trade.
The hall is filled with amazing furniture, artwork and decorations and we were surprised at how much mahogany was used.We learnt some fascinating facts along the way too!
I am so proud of the behaviour of the children during the visit and especially how they didn’t let the rain dampen their spirits.
I’m sure the other classes will have an equally great time when they visit tomorrow!
We will be celebrating better world day on Thursday 5th May (a day early). We are asking children to come into school in blue or yellow and we are asking for voluntery contributions of 50p to raise money to send funds directly into Ukraine to support those in need.
We are also challenging children to take part in better world day by completing acts of kindness to make the world a better place and sharing these acts of kindness to myself- [email protected] so we can share all of the kind and wonderful things you get up to.
You can livestream the Young voices concert by clicking this link. You will be required to pay 9.99 but this is a fabulous opportunity for you to watch the show if you were unable to attend. It really was out of this world!
