My shout out today goes to Raegan. He has been working really hard and has been kind. Today he was very helpful checking that our classroom areas were tidy. Well done Raegan.
A big happy birthday to all children who celebrated their birthdays throughout September, we hope you had a special day. Just one more cupcake to end their birthday month, thanks to our school cook.
We have learnt the story and today read the recipe to go with the story. We had lots of fun baking the cake. Tomorrow we will decorate it and then eat it. Yummy!!
Today we read sentences in a recipe to help us with our baking. Vlad and Alec read the sentences independently. Ruby-Ann and Paisley showed that they had learnt Phase 2 tricky words as they were reading. Our shout out goes to them today for moving onto red reading shelf. Well done girls. Keep up the fantastic learning.
Well done to Avaarni who has practiced her name writing over and over again since yesterday and wrote “a” the right way round. She was so proud of her name. What perseverance to improve her learning. Well done.
We have been learning to make numbers in different ways. Children working at Gold standard have been counting, ordering and are beginning to write the numbers. Children working at Green standard were thinking about different ways to make 5 as well as writing the numbers.
I was very impressed with the independent learning that the children did after the group input and how some children challenged themselves to make their learning better.
Thomas and Oscar really impressed me with their learning. They were working at Gold standard but with help challenged themselves to be Green standard. Well done boys. Fantastic learning.
I am looking forward to maths tomorrow an seeing your fantastic learning.
As part of our expedition EYFS are working with Age UK to have a party for some elderly people who they work with. We are hoping to provide them with Christmas presents and a celebration cupcake to make them smile.
We are aware that there are other elderly people in our local community who might be feeling lonely or haven’t had chance to attend a party recently. If we can, we would like to provide them with a celebration cupcake from Plover EYFS children to make them smile. If you know anyone who we could give a cupcake to please let one of the EYFS teachers know or email me, [email protected].
