Faith Day F2P
Today we explored the festival of Hannukah. The children watched clips of the festival and learnt new words such as Menorah, Dreidel and Judaism. The children made Menorahs and practiced Hebrew writing. They were able to compare the candles to other festivals we have learnt about with lights.

Year 1/2 Faith Day
As part of our Faith Day, Year 1 and 2 learned about the story of Moses. We then completed a Kahoot quiz to show what we have learned. We then learned about the story of Abraham and Isaac, then we completed freeze frames for the key parts of the story.
Faith Day Year 5
Year 5 have been learning about Passover and have decorated a Seder plate and what they would have on their meal.
Faith Day in 6B
6B had a lovely afternoon during ‘Faith Day’. The children studied Judaism and how Jewish people celebrate Yom Kippur. We looked at what happens during Yom Kippur and how it represents a day of atonement where Jewish people ask for forgiveness for any wrongdoings and make pledges. With this in mind, the children then made their own cards to apologise to anyone they felt they had wronged, or pledges of how to be the best versions of themselves.

Y1 Faith Day
Each term children will learn about different faiths and religions around the world, and understand how we respect people’s beliefs!
Year 3 Faith Day
This afternoon, we have been learning about the Islamic Religion, in particular, about the mosques where muslims worship.
After finding out some background information, we were really pleased to be joined by Rayyan’s mum, who talked to us and answered our questions about her faith.
After building our knowledge, we demonstrated what we had learnt by becoming Mosque Visitor guides.
I am so proud of how hard everyone worked. What a lovely way to learn more about the varied lives of people in our class, crew, school and community and to help us appreciate each other more.
We would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to Ms Gent for coming in this afternoon to talk to us, we really appreciate you giving us your time.
