We have some pomegranate fans in 6B! We had so much fruit from Mrs Kibble we were able to save some for today. The children really enjoyed it!

A huge shout out to Lola and Mo who have both impressed me so much this morning. They were both leading their own learning by using models to support their learning on their slides, I heard great mathematical vocabulary too! 10 crew coins each- superstars!

We were kindly donated some fruit by Mrs Kibble. So today in crew, 6B got to try some blueberries, mangoes, pineapples, melon and kiwis. They loved the fruit in 6B and our beautiful platter didn’t last very long! What a great way to try different fruits as don’t children had never tried mango or melon before!

A big thank you to Mrs Ogle, Adele and Sue from catering and Miss Bush and Mrs Douthwaite for organising our break time toast.
Starting from today, all our children will be able to enjoy a slice of toast – so no more rumbling tummies!

At Plover, we have introduced toast at break times at no costs to children for everyone to keep their tummies full! As you can see Years 5&6 were so happy to be tucking into their toast!

Next week in Crew, we will have the opportunity to try a range of fruits. There will be a range of home learning challenges to get involved in so keep an eye out for those on the blog. The first one is to send in any photos that you have of you eating a piece of fruit- please email these to [email protected] and we will celebrate them on our blogs!
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

Next week we will be learning all about healthy eating and we will be having a special delivery of different foods. We are looking forward to eating the food, printing with some different food, and learning about it.
Maybe you could try some different fruit this weekend and tell us all about it next week.

A huge shout out to Kaycie who is our yellow T-shirt winner this week. Her writing has been awesome this week. She has carefully listen to her peer and teacher critique and produced a gorgeous narrative! Well done Kaycie!

Year 5&6 children were given an amazing opportunity today to work with Martin and Watson from Doncaster Dons. The children were so excited and have really enjoyed themselves. We’ve had lots of children ask for a tag-rugby club next year because they had so much fun! Thank you Martin and Watson for a fantastic experience!

Congratulations to our F2 Pride of Plover winners today.
Emma was chosen for her kindness and her coaching. She has been explaining learning, praising children and challenging them further.
Kusang was chosen for his conversations with other children especially how he is using lots of words when speaking to grown-ups.
