Year 6 final word- so proud!

I am speaking on behalf of all staff and parents who sat in on final words today when I say just how proud we are of each and every one of our year 6ā€™s. The confidence our children showed when standing up and presenting their reflections of their time at Plover was awesome! I am sure everyone will agree just how reflective and emotional the presentations were. I can definitely see why you are now all secondary ready! All the children reflected on crew, HoWLs and Expedition and how these factors have contributed to their character growth and beautiful work. What an amazing way to celebrate their time at primary school!

Our virtual Harry Potter lesson from Warner Brothers studios!

Years 5&6 children are so lucky that Warner Brother studios agreed to deliver a Harry Potter lesson to us online. The children are learning all about script writing and film making. Theyā€™ve been given lots of tips and tricks to help them be successful in future script writing. How exciting!

LKS2 crews are buzzinā€™

We have been really busy in crew over the last couple of weeks researching and designing beautiful bee-friendly gardens as part of the BBCā€™s Big Bee Challenge competition.

Children may have brought their designs home with an entry form, if they want to the enter the competition.

We will be posting the designs tomorrow but entry forms have to be completed by parents (not school), so please could parents fill in the short entry form and return to school ( or you can post the individually from home if you wish).

The prize is to have the garden created at a childrenā€™s hospital and the winners will be invited to the opening on 20th August when they will be on Radio 2 Breakfast show with Zoe Ball. This is why entries need to be completed by parents as you have to guarantee being available on that date.

The children have certainly enjoyed finding out more about the bees and have been really creative with their designs.

So fingers crossed one of our children has the winning design!
