Uniform for Yorkshire Wildlife Park

Good afternoon,

Children and staff are really looking forward to the trip on Thursday. During our trip, please can we stress that children are to be in school uniform. However, children will need to wear appropriate outdoor footwear as we will be outside most of the day. It is due to rain so even if children wear wellies, this is absolutely fine, along with an appropriate (or waterproof) coat. Court shoes for the girls will not be appropriate. Any questions, please ask.

Thank you,

Year 3/4 Teachers.

Our new expedition

This morning Y3 and Y4 were busy orienteering on the school field trying to find the title to this term’s guiding question. We had lots of fun using a compass to find the direction of the clues and used our problem solving clues to work out the title.

We are looking forward to beginning our expedition: Why should we protect our beautiful planet?

Celebration of Learning – Friday 17th December

Although we were not able to celebrate our children’s learning in the style we wanted, we would still like to share with you some of the wonderful work produced over the last term.

We shall be displaying our art exhibition outside the Year 3 and 4 classrooms before school tomorrow morning (weather permitting).

Don’t worry if you can’t make it as I will be sharing the links to the digital art gallery in the morning as well.

Praise for our party animals

Praise to this lovely-natured pair of boys. They have danced till they dropped and congratulated other children as they won games. Well done Tommy and Johnny. You have shown true Christmas spirit and clearly enjoyed your party.

Sharing Christmas cards with our community!

The pupils of Plover have been very creative this week making Christmas cards for the Santa-gram scheme.
Home Instead Doncaster are running a Be A Santa-gram to a Senior as part of their commitment to make the biggest possible difference to the lives of older people in the Doncaster area.
The cards will be distributed to the Alzheimer’s Society (Doncaster), Age UK (Doncaster), DonMentia (local dementia charity), b:friend and our clients who live in their own homes.
