Who wants to win a box of Dunkin Doughnuts?

It all starts by reading a book to be in with a chance to win a box of doughnuts delivered to your door or in school.

Exciting competition

We are going to have a reading competition in school and for those children learning at home.

Children are to read a book with an adult. That could be the child reading to the adult or the adult reading to the child. Each time your child is reading send us a photo or for the children in school write in their yellow reading diary (F2). We will record the number of times and then the raffle tickets will be placed into a prize draw to win some Dunkin donuts. We will deliver them if your child is learning at home.

Closing date Tuesday 23rd February

Winners drawn Wednesday 24th February

Prizes delivered Thursday 25th February

I wonder who will win!!!

Celebration time

We had birthday celebrations today for Marnie and Nevaeh. We played some party games. The children were very good at musical and musical bumps.

Our shout out today goes to someone who has worked really hard to control their emotions and has played beautifully all day and that is Charlie. The children were very impressed with Charlie today and they wanted him to have the Plover Praise Postcard. We are very proud of you Charlie.

Well done to all our learners for a super week. I am looking forward to more learning about Goldilocks on Monday.

Goldilocks – A Sound Story

Today we are going to make a sound story.

Use your story map to sequence the story and retell it adding sounds. Choose objects from around the home to retell the story. Think about making Big, loud sounds, Medium-sized sounds and Tiny, Little, quiet sounds. You could choose a part of the story to retell or even retell the whole story.

Remember to share your sound stories when they are ready. Have fun!

Amazing learning

The children have been working together to build a house for the three bears today. They shared ideas and then used the model to tell the story.

A shout out also goes to Oscar for making all the characters in the story of Goldilocks using toilet rolls and then sharing the story with the children.

Our Plover Postcard went to Sofia today. She has been really independent and has been really proud of her achievements. Well done Sofia.

Thursday 28th Jan
1. Recap those tricky words and graphemes.
2. Sing an alphabet song and say the

3. Today we will be using letter names and looking at upper and lower case letters. Can you match upper and lower case letters? Use the caterpillar sheet to match letters or ask a grown-up to write upper and lower case letters on pieces of paper/cards for you to match.
Do you know their names? (Aa is ay, Bb is bee).
4. On an alphabet sheet tick off the ones you can name. I wonder if you can learn the rest?
I can’t wait to see your photos!
