Administering Parking Tickets

Here are Year 5 and 6 representatives looking out for good parking and parking that could have been improved upon! I wonder if you got a ticket if you were parked around Intake today. I know I did! Well done to all Y5 and Y6 today, the officers and representatives from the council commented to Mrs Ogle on your excellent behaviour. #LovePlover

Police Community Day

Year 5 and 6 had a brilliant day today with officers from Doncaster Council and the police learning about anti-social behaviour and road safety. I think our class particular enjoyed exploring the ā€˜Riot Vanā€™ the most. #LovePlover

Look what happened at Plover today!

The Police were kind enough to allow us to sit in their van today! We had great fun exploring, pressing the sirens and sitting in the driverā€™s seat! This afternoon, we have designed parking tickets 🎫 and representatives from Y5/6 have spent this afternoon praising good parking or advising people of safer places to park #LovePlover

Y5/6 Police Community Day

Years 5 and 6 have been busy thinking about how to keep themselves safe in the community that they live. Road safety is paramount in this. We have learnt about the various types of road crossings in our area and others that we may come across when walking around.

In addition, we have also considered how our clothing, and the behaviours we display, can also impact on our safety when out and about.

I wonder what our anti-social behaviour session will bring next.

Exciting News – Digital Leaders

Congratulations to Arwa and Anez, who have been selected as 5Tā€™s digital leaders. The girls have been selected after applying for their role. We are all very proud of them. The girls will visit XP East after the half term break to be trained up. I certainly need the tech tips! #LovePlover

We are biologists!

Learning about animal classification and adaptation had us puzzled and curious at first; however we were quickly enraptured and learnt a lot of new vocabulary which we can use to become better biologists in our new case study. Lucasā€™ transformation into a meerkat was entertaining to say the least! Sorry Lucas – but you did help us to understand why animals adapt to the environment that they live in along with the opposable thumbs Vā€™s no opposable thumbs game!
