Years 5&6 children are so lucky that Warner Brother studios agreed to deliver a Harry Potter lesson to us online. The children are learning all about script writing and film making. They’ve been given lots of tips and tricks to help them be successful in future script writing. How exciting!
Well done to our Pride of Plover winners. Nelson has worked hard to score 4 on his HOWL s. Well done Nelson. Oscar has worked hard in his language sessions and has impressed with his kindness to his friends. Well done Oscar.
Thank you so much to staff, parents and children for donating to our bake sale! What an amazing Plover community crew effort! 6B is smelling delicious. All cakes and treats have now been wrapped up ready to sell at 3pm. We hope to see you there! -Miss Blackham
Maison came skipping to school this morning and as soon as he saw me he asked if he could read one of our new books in school. He is so excited and it’s great to see such enthusiasm for reading! He’s determined to read it before England’s next game! -Miss Blackham
Well done to Zara and Mr Taylor for helping our Plover community by litter picking to keep our school grounds clean! What fantastic role models- 10 crew coins!
We have been really busy in crew over the last couple of weeks researching and designing beautiful bee-friendly gardens as part of the BBC’s Big Bee Challenge competition.
Children may have brought their designs home with an entry form, if they want to the enter the competition.
We will be posting the designs tomorrow but entry forms have to be completed by parents (not school), so please could parents fill in the short entry form and return to school ( or you can post the individually from home if you wish).
The prize is to have the garden created at a children’s hospital and the winners will be invited to the opening on 20th August when they will be on Radio 2 Breakfast show with Zoe Ball. This is why entries need to be completed by parents as you have to guarantee being available on that date.
The children have certainly enjoyed finding out more about the bees and have been really creative with their designs.
So fingers crossed one of our children has the winning design!
Well done to Year 6 who successfully completed their daily mile again today. It was great to see some of you challenge yourselves to run instead of walk and thank you to those of you who helped a crew mate to keep going – no man was left behind! A true crew effort!
Well done Bobby. You have been amazing this week, working so hard, being kind to everyone and being helpful. I am sure your Year 1 teacher will look forward to seeing your fantastic learning.
Lucas has been working extremely hard on his writing this week. He has identified that he sometimes doesn’t create a detailed enough plan. So in crew, he made a pledge to be more specific with his plans and he has done exactly that! I am so proud of you Lucas and I can’t wait to read your finished piece! -Miss Blackham
