We have had a fantastic time inviting parents in to share activities with their children. Thank you so much to everyone who helped today, it was lovely to see the children sharing some of their learning.

Today we have worked together to create an advert for our sweet product. We took inspiration from the haribo adverts.

We are beginning to think ahead to next year and our Autumn Expedition in LKS2.
Do you know anybody (Grandparents, family members, friends or organisations) who would be willing to share their experiences of World War (at home or in the forces) with our children to help them with their learning?
If you know of anyone, please could you let Mrs Graves know, so that we can begin to plan ahead.
Thank you for your support,
Mrs Graves

The launch date for our charity single is getting ever closer, and today we have been busy recording the video – like all good pop stars do!
Geoff came into school and recorded Year 3 and 4 singing the song. I was so impressed, as it has been a while since we last sang it – but it sounded fantastic.
I can’t wait for everyone to hear it and get the chance to buy/download it!

A big shout out to all of Year 4 for completing their times tables check this week, you have all worked super hard and we are all so proud of you. Well done to those of you who came to times table booster sessions Tuesday and Thursday mornings, they have really paid off.
Well done to Jude, Isabella and Eva for winning the Dunkin Donuts draw!
Sports day practise is well under way in Year 4.
As the weather becomes warmer, please can you make sure your child brings a water bottle to school to keep themselves hydrated throughout the day.

Today LKS2 were excited to welcome a sugar expert to Plover School.
Paul Crystal is a published author and historian and has thrilled us with his knowledge of Why sugar is not so sweet. He shared the history of sugar and how it has been used through the ages.
Did you know sugar was used in medicines? Did you know sugar was rationed during WW1 and WW2? Imagine no sweets or cakes! Did you know that they used to mix plaster and brick dust into sugary sweets?
Did you know that Doncaster is famous for butterscotch? I wonder if you can find the building where Parkinsonās toffee was made and sold in the city centre.
