Dedicated to Learning

I want to give a huge ‘Shout Out’ to Ellis.

Ellis is online accessing all of the remote sessions, he completes all work set in Google Classroom.  But his learning doesn’t stop there… any additional challenge or suggested home learning task we set Ellis completes, with the help of his sister, Paisley and mum.

A family of superstars

Excellent learning!

Well done 2P for some excellent learning today. I must give a shout out to Shayen, Kai, Scarlett, Johnny and TIm for some outstanding writing in the first draft of their newspaper reports. It will be hard to make them even better!

I would also like to shout out Scarlett and Darwin for their amazing Tudor style houses. They have been exploring different materials in their expedition session and have used this to create their models. Take a look below. Darwin, you win the virtual Plover Praise Postcard for your learning today. Well done!

Expedition Arts, Crafts and Baking :)

Check out this heartfelt and creative plaque made by our very own Harry and his sister Lily-Grace. The whole staff at Plover love it!

But we would like to thank all of you, children and grown ups, for your continued work, patience and cooperation – we are all in this together!

Some fantastic and awesome expedition work has been produced today and over the weekend by some of our superstars!

I praise Miksang for your ‘Pudding Lane’ baking skills and artistic collage of King Charles II.

The creative and craftsman himself – Harry constructing his 1666 house using different materials explored in todays expedition lesson! Love that you have made your own den too.

Last weeks Pride of Plover Roscoe – continuing to express his creativity and hard work, building his very own Pudding Lane bakery. As well as planning his brilliant newspaper headline for our English writing!

Keep sending photos of your superstars work and celebrate the positive things we have in this moment of challenge!

E-Safety Poster Winner!

Thank you to everyone for entering your posters for the e-safety competition. There have been some excellent, creative entries. It has been very hard to judge! We have decided to give a small prize for the best entry in each class because it has been so hard to choose.

The 1M winner is…

Peyton! Well done Peyton. We can see the time and effort you have put in to giving us all a really important message.

There is a yoyo prize in class for you when we are next able to be together.

Pride of Plover Winner – Roscoe!

A massive congratulations and a huge happy birthday to our Pride of Plover winner this week… Roscoe!

It is thoroughly deserved for your continued hard work and accessing of remote learning whilst at home. Creating and making some awesome crafts linked to our expedition. But best of all, for the improved amounts of writing you have been producing for English and phonics – keep it up buddy and I look forward to seeing that brilliant writing when we are back in school.

Great Fire of Plover… I mean London!

Over the last week, children in school have been making crafts to replicate houses similar to those on the streets of London in 1666.

This afternoon (with no rain or snow in sight) but a slight breeze… we investigated how quickly the fire spread to show what this would have been like on a mass scale during 17th Century!

Check out the video below to see (a small) London burning!

Madness in KS1

The staff in KS1 have gone slightly ‘wild’ with excitement seeing how well you are all engaging with your work. We have all been writers, historians and mathematicians, both at home and in school.  The standard of work has been super.  Also we have found lots of opportunities to be creative, baking bread, continuing to develop our learning environments and making puppets to help with our learning environment.

KS1 you rock!

From all the KS1 Crew.
