Evanas really impressed me today with his name writing. He worked very hard to correct his letter formation even when he didn’t find it easy. Well done Evanas.

After the torrential rain this morning the children really enjoyed playing in the mud kitchen. They sang the silly soup song from phonics and enjoyed creating a kitchen.

Our Plover postcard went to Raegan today for working hard at home and school. I have noticed an improvement in Raegan’s writing as a result of his practicing at home and school.
Keep working hard Raegan, we are so proud of you.

We had three winners in our Fast Phonics Peak Challenge. Well done to Paisley and Vlad for completing one Peak challenge this week and to Zara for completing two. I can tell how much you have been practicing because you have made so much progress in your reading.

The children worked together today to see what shapes they could find outside. They took turns to record on their boards. We did whip around at the end to see what we had found.
Our shout out for this lesson was to Harper. Harper had found a triangle shadow on the floor. She said we needed to move or the triangle would change shape. She also noticed that the gate was made up of different shapes. She noticed that the oblongs made a square and 2 squares made a giant oblong.

🇺🇸 Thursday 7th October will be our American dinner day! We are asking children to come dressed in red, white and blue and join us on school dinners to try some yummy American style food🇺🇸
Every child who has a dinner on this day will be entered into a raffle to win either 2 tickets for the new Savoy theatre, a box of 12 Dunkin donuts or a sweet treat box including popcorn and chocolate! 🎟 🍩🍿
We can’t wait to try the pancakes and honey 😋
We have been exploring the book It’s my birthday. We are learning to sign the story to help us in our re-telling.
Today we worked in pairs to sequence the ingredients in the story. We could all sign the ingredients and most of us could put them in the right order.
