This week we are focussing on the ways we can make 5 as well as making sure we can name circles and triangles.
We have been making 5 frames and adding natural objects. We have used hoops to make circle bubbles and large shapes to build with talking about their faces.
Well done to Isla who made the 5 frame in different ways and matched the numbers.
Today we had a special visit from the school cook who taught us how to bake a cake. Once they were baked, the cook let us taste them…they were delicious!
We all enjoyed making cards as part of our expedition learning. We looked at different cards for ideas. Some children started by drawing and then colouring. Others decided to stick.
A shout out goes to Alec who really thought about the colours he needed to make a burger card and then found materials to match. Well done Alec.
We have been talking about what we celebrate. We used our photos for Think Pair Share. We noticed that lots of us liked cake but we had different celebrations.
This is our display of learning.
Thank you to parents and careers for sending in photos.
The children were very excited yesterday to take books home to share with their grown-ups. I am looking forward to hearing about their stories next Tuesday in crew.
