An Emotional Pride of Plover for 3G

This week, it was a unanimous decision from the class that Luca should be our Pride of Plover, but it was with a little sadness that we awarded him his certificate and yellow T-Shirt as today was his last day at Plover School. Sadly, Luca is moving to a new school, where I am sure he will soon settle in and be impressing his new teacher and classmates, but we will miss him lots in 3G.

Everyone in 3G wanted to wish Luca and his family ‘Good Luck’ for their new adventure and keep in touch!

By the way – he can keep the T-Shirt as it has been signed by everyone from year 3!

Halloween party- Thursday 14th October 🎃 👻

Plover invite you all to our year group spooky Halloween discos on Thursday 14th October. Children can come dressed up in costumes and they will be given Halloween sweet treats and party food fora a £2 entry fee.

Film night- Thursday 7th October 🍿

An Interview with a Viking!

Today we have been developing our speaking and listening skills in our English lesson.

We have listened to what it was like to be a Monk or a Viking in Lindisfarne and then we have have used hot-seating to ask questions and find out more about how the individuals felt.

The children really enjoyed getting into the role of the Viking and Mrs Lewis was so impressed by the quality of questioning, as well as the depth of the answers.

Well done 3G, I am very proud of you.

LKS2: Off to a Great Start

It has been such a busy four weeks and I have been so impressed by the learning attitudes and behaviour of the children in LKS2.

I have seen great learning from children in Year 3 and 4 in all subjects and the home-learning that has been brought in has been amazing.

It was lovely to get together as a phase for a short phase crew this morning and lovely to award Frazer, Eva , Kiara, and Tim the Pride of Plover certificates – and it was even better to see them in their yellow T-Shirts later in the day.

Well done guys – keep up the great work and we look forward to more great learning next week!

Thursday 7th October- American dinner day! 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 Thursday 7th October will be our American dinner day! We are asking children to come dressed in red, white and blue and join us on school dinners to try some yummy American style food🇺🇸

Every child who has a dinner on this day will be entered into a raffle to win either 2 tickets for the new Savoy theatre, a box of 12 Dunkin donuts or a sweet treat box including popcorn and chocolate! 🎟 🍩🍿

We can’t wait to try the pancakes and honey 😋
