Good morning Key Stage One.

Today we are going to be writing an invitation to the event you are having for your family who live with you in your own home.

When we write an invitation, there are a few things to remember to include.

-What you are inviting someone to

-The day

-The time 

-The place

-Who to reply to

Here is an example of an invitation

You could make your invitation on; 

-A word document

-A slide show

-By hand

You can decorate your invitation however you would like! Remember to send a picture to [email protected]

Are you troubled by the ‘What if Monsters’?

Over the past few months, the television and news have been filled with lots of scary stories. It has been important to understand what we must do to make sure we stay safe, but at the same time it may have started us thinking about difficult questions that can lead to big worries.

These worries are called the ‘What If Monsters’ and for some of us, these they are starting to affect how we feel, how we behave and how we act. We may be getting upset or angry more easily, we may be speaking to our grown-ups differently to how we did before, we may not want to do anything or go anywhere – all because of the What if Monsters,

The good news is that we can beat the What If Monsters  – we will always have questions, and that’s OK, but there are lots of things we can do to prevent the questions from becoming BIG worries.

Good morning Key Stage One.

This morning we are going to be learning to create a list. On Monday you planned a tea party/picnic/bbq/meal for the adults and any other children who live in your house. You created a menu of the things you might have to eat.

Today we are going to use that menu to write a shopping list. If you didn’t join us on Monday, don’t worry, perhaps you could write a shopping list with a grown up at home for their shopping?

Here is an example of my menu:

Egg sandwich 

Tuna sandwich 

Cheese sandwich

Ham sandwich 

Crisps

Dessert 

Scone with jam and cream
