Just a message to our amazing Year 6’s!

SATs don’t measure sport and SATs don’t measure art,

SATs don’t measure music or the kindness in your heart.

SATs don’t see your beauty, SATs don’t know your worth,

SATs don’t see the reasons you were put upon this earth.

SATs don’t see your magic or how you make others smile.

SATs don’t time how quickly you can run a mile.

SATs don’t hear your laughter or see you’ve come this far,

SATs are just a tiny glimpse of who you truly are.

So sitting at your table, with a pencil and your test.

Remember SATs aren’t who you are,

remember you’re the best!

We are all so proud of each and everyone of you Year 6, you are going to smash your SATs next week!

We are celebrating better world day on the 5th May!

We will be celebrating better world day on Thursday 5th May (a day early). We are asking children to come into school in blue or yellow and we are asking for voluntery contributions of 50p to raise money to send funds directly into Ukraine to support those in need.

We are also challenging children to take part in better world day by completing acts of kindness to make the world a better place and sharing these acts of kindness to myself- [email protected] so we can share all of the kind and wonderful things you get up to.

Thank you

iPad Scheme – Important Update

A high number of student iPads are being returned to the Edutech workshop with damaged screens. Our insurers are now implementing a £50 excess to any claims for broken screens where a screen protector is not applied to the device.

Parents will be liable to pay this excess if screen protectors are not applied.

If you do not have a screen protector please ask crew leaders who can access these from school admins.

Screen protectors and devices form part of our crew equipment check process so this is the responsibility of staff, students and parents to ensure devices are appropriately protected.

Change to the London itinerary!

We have had to make some amendments to our London trip and we have some very excited Year’s 5&6 children. Unfortunately, we will not be able to go to Harry Potter studios but we will be going on the London eye and enjoying a day at Legoland (as well as watching Matilda the musical and enjoying a two course dinner at Bubba Gump’s)!

I will be hosting a parent meeting to discuss the trip further on the 16th May at 3:15pm.

All payments are due by the 5th May. Any questions please pop me an email.

Little Big Book Club

This morning we shared a ‘book and a biscuit’ at our first ‘Little Big Book Club’.

Five Year 3 children were lucky enough to be selected to take part in the initiative funded by the National Literacy Trust.

They have brought home their first book today and are very excited about receiving the other books over the next few weeks.

Miss Myers is so looking forward to sharing some great books!
