Well done Darcy on your home learning. You obviously spent a great deal of time researching and applying all the facts we have learnt in class to produce this fab poster.
In class we are busy copying up and editing a non chronological report. #LovePlovee
Blake, who else could have received our yellow T-shirt this week? You’ve been nothing short of incredible and your editing and improvement in your writing was superb! A very deserving winner, the class are delighted for you! #LovePlover
What great week you’ve had Year 5, I have been really impressed with the start you have made to the new half term. This week, we’ve enjoyed preparing for our final write with some reading comprehensions, performance poetry, Maths work on multi step problems and rounding, as well as learning about how trains have changed over time. It’s amazing how much we can fit into a week! We also received a new book each, ‘Protect the Planet’ from the Literacy Trust and are looking forward to an author zoom call next week! #LovePlover
Tonight the UKS2 circuit training club joined forces with the year ones, in their Commando Joe Club. I noticed the children (and adults) were having lots of fun while getting fit together and I praise the team building that was going on.
Awesome guys! I can’t wait till next time. #LovePlover
A shout out to my postcard winners this week, who have been kind in the classroom and are showing excellent examples of what it is to work hard and get smart.
Well done to Munzer who is applying excellent reasoning skills in all areas of his learning.
Using ‘strange’ equipment proved challenging at first but they got there in the end by persevering and collaborating. Well done to the green mathematicians!
Lucas has had such a positive mind set in class all day and it was fab to see some confidence shine through! Very proud of you today, young man!
For our collaborative starter in Maths today, we competed against each other in a factors, multiple game. This helped us consolidate our learning in a fun way. We enjoyed it so much that we want to play it again.
It’s fair to say we were stumped at first. What on Earth does Mrs H want us to do?
After some time exploring and getting to grips with their equipment, all became clear in the end. Well done you six! I hope this made abundant numbers a little clearer for you.
