Author Zoom Call

All children in KS2 received a copy of the book ‘Protect the Planet’, as a gift from the Literacy Trust. Today, we are so excited that we were invited to join a call with Jess French, the author.

Maths week begins!

Today, in Year 5 we have started a new unit. We have been learning about line graphs, bar charts and pictograms. Here are some of the children who went and lead their own learning today during the maths lesson.

Well done Blake

Blake, who else could have received our yellow T-shirt this week? You’ve been nothing short of incredible and your editing and improvement in your writing was superb! A very deserving winner, the class are delighted for you! #LovePlover

Welcome back Year 5

What great week you’ve had Year 5, I have been really impressed with the start you have made to the new half term. This week, we’ve enjoyed preparing for our final write with some reading comprehensions, performance poetry, Maths work on multi step problems and rounding, as well as learning about how trains have changed over time. It’s amazing how much we can fit into a week! We also received a new book each, ‘Protect the Planet’ from the Literacy Trust and are looking forward to an author zoom call next week! #LovePlover

Fantastic Fun at Club!

Tonight the UKS2 circuit training club joined forces with the year ones, in their Commando Joe Club. I noticed the children (and adults) were having lots of fun while getting fit together and I praise the team building that was going on.

Awesome guys! I can’t wait till next time.

Young voices!

Just a reminder to be involved in young voices you must bring your slips back ready to start the club next week- Tuesday 9th November. Young voices is a fantastic opportunity to sing with thousands of other children at Sheffield and we really want as many of you as possible to take part. This will be open for Years 4, 5 & 6 children. Any questions please see Miss Hickey or Mrs Blackham.

Fun in PE

Year 5 have really taken to hockey and have been practising their tackling skills. As a little end of term treat we had a go at ‘Kurling’. They absolutely loved it (as did Miss Free) Mrs Pantegi and David also couldn’t resist popping in to join the fun! #LovePlover

There are lots of events during the holidays in and around Doncaster!
