Hi
Tomorrow, we will be recording the year 3 and 4 Song for Christmas. If year 3 and 4 pupils would like to bring a Christmas Jumper in a bag for the recording and any Christmas hats / Beanie Boppers / Tinsel with them for the recoding, that would be great.
Christmas Jumper day is on Wednesday and Christmas Party day is on Thursday.
We are not in school on Friday.
Thank you
Mrs Graves

Well done to these 4 superstars who really impressed Mr Sprakes (Cheif academic officer for the XP trust) when articulating the learning they had engaged in during their current Expeditions. Both myself and Mr Sprakes were blown away by their knowledge and confidence! Well done superstars!

We have had a great start to our week. There was a great attendance at our film night. It was so lovely to share a Christmas film together.
Following that, I have been thrilled today to see all lovely pupils keen to share their learning.
Our focus in English this week has been the Disney Christmas advert, ‘From our family to yours!’ and today it has led us to writing a piece of poetry called ‘Love is’. The children have been so inspired and I have really enjoyed reading the poems.
Well done LKS2

Congratulations to Zeynep, our Pride of Plover for this week.
She has worked so incredibly hard this term and has shown fantastic effort in everything she does.
She has stuck at the assessments this week and always tries her best.
Well done Zeynep.

Lights, cameras, ACTION!
We have been working so hard to complete our final product for our expedition. Even assessment week could not halt rehearsals and filming.
We have a little more to do, but just to give you a taste of what is to come next week, here is the trailer to our film, ‘Rocking Romans’.
Keep your eye on the class blogs for the full film.

Unfortunately, I haven’t got lots of lovely photos to share with this blog, as the main thing I would like to celebrate is how everyone has worked so hard this week during our assessments.
There have been some challenging questions and tricky problems to solve but the children have overwhelming worked incredibly hard and really tried their best.
I am very proud how they have stuck at the assessments and kept going even when it was a challenge.
Only one more day to go, so stick at it guys!

4G have made me very proud today. They have worked incredibly hard to produce their information text ‘What did the Romans do for us?’.
After drafting, critiquing, redrafting and finally producing a polished version, they should be very pleased with the effort they have put in to create their ‘final write.’
They have demonstrated their historical knowledge of the Romans, that they have gained over the last few months, as well as tried really hard to write in the Year 4 style using the Year 4 features.
Well done everybody,
Mrs Graves
Year 3 and 4 are working hard to get ready for their performance of ‘The Rocking Romans’ which will be on our website all about the Romans. To help children prepare for this, you might like to practice the songs at home (lots of the children have been asking).

Please find a link above to the songs. We will be singing songs 1, 2, 3 and 8 from the list on the web page.
Happy singing!
