In KS1 we have been thinking about how busy we all are, we thought about the importance of balancing working hard with taking time to relax and have fun.
So after working hard, we had fun… lots of fun!
Roman imagined he was holding a jellyfish!
The children were fabulous, look how responsible they were afterwards. The playground was left spotless.
In our Crew sessions today Y1 were thinking about responsibility. They showed me what being responsible in Crew would look like.
Violet and Payton thought how to take care of books and how to share and enjoy reading together.Kodish and Lyra said it was really important to be responsible in our learning and work hard all the time.Roman said it was important to listen to everyone and respectfully take turns when talking.
Super Crew sessions, lots of fabulous notices and praises about our classroom responsibilities.
Congratulations to Lyra who was our final remote learning Pride of Plover winner last week and gets to wear the yellow t-shirt in school this week 😁
Lyras online learning was always handed in to a great standard and last week Lyra produced a star performance re-enacting London’s burning, using intonation, actions and musical instruments.
Just a few short words to summarise how amazing today has been and how immensely proud I am of every child in 1M today! 🤩 (I wish more photos/videos had been taken of all the children entering school and throughout the whole day, to support how incredible your children have been… but we were too busy learning, sharing, helping and enjoying being back as a class crew!)🗣🥳🙌🏼
It was a surreal and magical moment seeing all my children and you awesome grown ups on the playground this morning 🤗 I hope you grown ups all had a well earned rest and some well deserved you time today!💆🏽💆🏼♀️ (can I just remind you all to wear face masks, follow social distancing and arrive on the playground as close to 3pm as possible at home time please). 😷
All 30 children in 1M were present in school today 🏆 (let’s start as we mean to go on and win the class cash for 100% attendance!)
All 30 children acted in such a mature, kind and enthusiastic way today in their learning and on the playground 👏🏼 Resulting in some brilliant discussions in class, some lovely writing and 3s and 4s all round in their HOWLs!🟡🟢
I thought I’d be shattered and sock on sleeping by this time… but the beaming smile of pride I have for all 1M children is infinite! I can’t wait to see you all tomorrow morning 🤩💫⭐️🌍
Final thing, if you loaned a School Chromebook during remote learning can you please return it by the end of this week please. 💻
All in all, it has been a truly heartfelt and wonderful day. Thank you children, thank you grown ups, thank you Plover crew! 🙏🏼 (See told you it would only be a few short words 😬😅)
We had a great day celebrating books at Plover. There were all sorts of characters walking around from Gangsta Granny to Mr and Mrs Twit; Mary Poppins and Wonky Donkey; Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf in Grandma’s clothing- plus lots, lots more!
We had lots of potato photos for the potato character competition and some great reviews on the Padlet – check out the books that have been recommended – they are bound to make you LOL!
Our Masked Reader competition was very popular – well done to Harper in 4G for correctly identifying all 20 of the Masked Readers
We have lots of photos of the day so check out our World Book Day Website for many more: https://sites.google.com/ploverschool.co.uk/ploverworldbookday2021/home
