Plover Postcards

It was my pleasure to award Edy and Charlie with a Plover Praise Postcard today.

Charlie was so respectful and polite in community crew this morning, he followed the think pair share protocol superbly, sharing what he had achieved on the weekend with Neveah!

Edy was poorly last week and we missed her massively in class. But she has come back today so cheerful, kind and hard working in every lesson today!

Keep it up guys

Monday Madness

I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. We all made pledges this morning for the week ahead. Have a think about how you can keep your pledge. I’m hoping that in crew on Thursday we can reflect on them and Mrs Abbiss and I can be super proud of you all.

We have had a super busy morning in Maths and English. We have been doing different activity stations in Maths and literacy labs in English. Then we continued expedition this afternoon learning about online safety and what internet browsers are. It was a tricky lesson! I’m sure you’ll all feel like you need a brain nap tonight. #loveplover

IT wizards and mathematicians

Super star of the week in 1M is Aland for his brilliant behaviour and awesome learning in phonics!

Well done to our Plover Praise postcard winners who have achieved something wonderful this week also.

In expedition children enjoyed searching the internet and learning about how to stay safe online!

In maths we have finished our first unit of numbers within ten, looking at partitioning, doubling & halving and ordering.

Have a lovely weekend all of you

Thank you

Plover Praise Fridays

A huge shoutout to Jan and Luke who bought in £1 for their ice pops and said that if anyone had forgotten they could have one. That us so kind. I haven’t been in class today but I will make sure you each get a crew point and a prize from my prize bag. How lucky am I to have such kind children in my class!

I also want to give a shout-out to Aseel and Omer who achieved a certificate for reading books on reading eggs! omer read 15 books and Aseel read 11 books and both were entered into a prize draw, congratulations Omer for winning! Mrs Graves wanted to congratulate you in person but as she couldn’t I just want you to know how proud we are of you both.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and see you all on Monday!

Fantastic Reading

Mia has done fantastic reading in KS1 and has completed all the reading levels. She is now a free reader and can choose to read a book of her choice. Keep reading Mia! #Loveplover

Internet Safety!

I was so impressed with the children’s knowledge of internet safety! I had lots of you contributing this afternoon to discussions which makes me really happy. We spoke about what we need permission for and what we might not need permission for. Now we know what dangers are out there on the internet, we need to remember to always tell your adult if something is worrying you or upsetting you. Our case study is titled “How can we digitally record heroes?”, I wonder what’s in store for our future expedition lessons?

Well done to my three superstars for working hard and making smart choices. These children have been rewarded a postcard over the past few days, keep it up!
