Today’s Plover Praise Postcard winners are Mason and Aland. For choosing to extend their phonics learning and develop their segmenting and blending skills during choosing time this afternoon!
Other children in class were having fun with different phonics, expedition and maths activities! #LovePlover
We have been exploring how to stay safe online! We have discussed how important it is not to share our personal information and our identity. This includes our phone numbers, faces, house numbers and our address.
We have chosen a photograph of our friends to share with you. You will notice that we have covered our friends faces with a smiley face this is because some people are not allowed to go on the blog and we are protecting their identity. We have been learning about our real life superheroes.
I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. We’ve been looking at number bonds to 20 in maths and today we looked at subtraction. We used cubes and hoops and had whiteboards to make number sentences to represent what we did. We started with our whole which is 20 and took some away to create two parts! Have a look…
See if you can show your adults at home what a part part whole model looks like. It could be using pencils, sweets, coins! Can you write the number sentences? I’d love to see and there might be some extra crew coins in it for you!
This afternoon we continued our expedition learning. We looked at uploading to blogs so stay tuned for some blog posts!
Just a short one today but see you all tomorrow and have lovely evenings!
Plover invite you all to our year group spooky Halloween discos on Thursday 14th October. Children can come dressed up in costumes and they will be given Halloween sweet treats and party food fora a £2 entry fee.
Congratulations to Myla who is our special, yellow t-shirt winner this week 😁
It is a bitter sweet celebration for us and our Pride of Plover winner today.
We are sad to see the magnificent Myla leave Plover crew, but we wish her all the best at her new school – they are lucky to have such a bright, kind superstar join them!🌈
Myla always works hard, gets smart and is an absolute angel!
Plenty of praise in our crews this week! Shout outs to Lawand, Lena, Karlie -Rose, Elijah, Kyran.
A massive well done to Hasty for winning the 1M superstar trophy for always coming to school and being so helpful, working hard and creating beautiful work!
Today Y2P have been ‘Information Technologists’ busy learning how to use the iPads safely. We explored different websites by typing in the search bar some real life superheroes and recorded the website addresses and some information. We were being crew with our learning by helping others and working together. #Loveplover
