Yesterday, our year 1 crews loved spending their crew attendance cash on a McDonalds. Here is Crew Newton. #LovePlover
Crew Cash Treats
Crew Meade loved their McDonalds and ice lolly treats this afternoon after winning £50 over the year for their attendance crew cash! #LovePlover
WOW
Firstly, Samuel brought in some artefacts and historical memorabilia, that his great grandad had as an ex-miner!
Then Crew Meade were all awarded another WOW badge for being active travellers. #LovePlover

Thank you 😊
Crew Collage
Crew Meade made a collage of all pur different body parts on our face, so show how diverse we are but that we are all one Crew! #LovePlover
Sharing Stories
We are beginning to think ahead to next year and our Autumn Expedition in LKS2.
Do you know anybody (Grandparents, family members, friends or organisations) who would be willing to share their experiences of World War (at home or in the forces) with our children to help them with their learning?
If you know of anyone, please could you let Mrs Graves know, so that we can begin to plan ahead.
Thank you for your support,
Mrs Graves

Year 1 sports day practice
Well done year 1 for trying really hard at some of the events in preparation for sports day. Keep up the good work!
Armthorpe Miners Memorial Garden
Mr Meade and Mrs Price took five Y1 and five reception children to learn a bit about Armthorpe’s mining history! Our children have also planted a time capsule of their beautiful expedition work, which will be re-opened in 5 years time! This was a beautiful experience which links very closely to both EYFS and KS1’s current expeditions.
Thank you grown ups for your cooperation as always! #LovePlover
Cultural Day
Wow! What a fab afternoon we have all had. We have taste tested foods from the world, danced to music from different cultures and designed Henna patterns.
A huge thank you to our parents who came to celebrate with us and for your engagement this afternoon. It is very much appreciated.
Key Stage 1.
Our Class is a Family
For case study 3 in our expedition the children have discovered our key text is called “Our Class is a Family!” This links superbly to Crew, Plover and the cultures we have within our community! #LovePlover
