I wonder how far these pirates can see!!
As many of you have enjoyed creating maps and treasure trails we thought we would spend half term pretending to be pirates. We are providing some ideas for you but I am sure that you can think of other things – perhaps learning about pirates are, what they do and where they go. Carry on practicing your phonics and numbers.
F1 – for phonics practice blending and segmenting sounds in words, recognising s,a,t,p,i,n,m,d,g,o,c,k,, reading I, no, go, to, the, into, writing your name, recognising numbers to 10, counting objects, saying what 1 more or 1 fewer will be.
F2 – practice phonics at the level you were working at, reading and writing tricky words, solving problems using numbers with 20 and then beyond.
Have a lovely week
The next F2P hangout will be Monday morning at 10. This will then be a weekly event. An email has been sent to your child’s email address. If you haven’t managed to access your child’s emails yet, this is what you need to do.
Load the school website ploverschool.co.uk.
Then log in to the website.
Your username is the first initial of your child’s name followed by your surname eg Joanne Blog would be jblog
The initial password is pa55word. You will then change to a password you will remember. You will then be able to access your child’s emails.
You can also use the APP if this is easier.
If you have problems logging on, I can add parent emails. Just let me know in an email or on Evidence me.
Looking forward to seeing you all. Bring something that you have learnt or made to show your friends.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Poppy! We hope you have a fantastic day!
Harry has really worked hard to set up his own police station. He’s been busy making wanted posters, a badge and filling in incident forms. I feel much safer knowing PC Harry is on the case!
Well done to Helen – Rose for some fantastic reading, writing and number recognition.
Samuel has been making giant feet.
Alec has had an adventure and spent the night with his family in the tent in the garden.
Thank you to all key workers, to all our parents/carers and our children for cooperation and hard work during these uncertain times. You have all been amazing! Here is this week’s video!
If anyone missed out, we will be creating a second rainbow video, so please continue to send your pictures in.
Next week, as our school holidays approach, we would like photos/videos of anything and everything you have been up to during our school closure, this can range from home learning, activities in line with social distancing, household family fun, anything at all! Please send your videos to [email protected] no later than Thursday at 3pm.
Stay safe everyone, we miss you!
Harry Green
Congratulations Harry! You have really impressed me this week with your hard work and creativity. You have taken on roles from Farmer Harry, making butter and growing things to Sheriff Harry, catching thieves. You are clearly enjoying your learning. Keep it up!
F2P Pride of Plover award this week goes to Lena Cnota for her fantastic outdoor learning. She has worked hard every week during Lock Down and has been a superstar. Well done Lena.
Our school challenge next week is to recreate a famous portrait. Use your imagination and get creative. Involve your family members if you want, but pick your picture, strike a pose and get snapping!
I chose a portrait by Holbein (a Tudor Artist) to copy, but you can choose any artist and style.
Have a look at the website for some brilliant examples!
Email a copy of the original portrait and your new version to me: [email protected] or to Miss Blackham: [email protected] by Thursday 28th May
