Welcome Back!

Good morning Key Stage 1.

We hope you have had a great Christmas and New Year.

This wasn’t how we had planned for you to return to school this morning but we will still be able to do fabulous learning online instead! There will be self-guided learning and live lessons available from the Google Classrooms, which everyone will be expected to attend. If you have any problems accessing your classroom, school will initially contact you to try and offer some support. If you still have problems, please contact school and we will try and help where we can.

The distance learning timetable is attached below:

Year 1 and 2 distance learning timetable

Lessons will happen from your own classes Google classroom, which can be accessed through the school website or from the links below:

Remember that you must be logged in with your school email address to access the classrooms. At 9am everyday we will be doing a live feelings check-in and the links for this (and all the live lessons) are below:

Please check out the classrooms every day for your new learning – especially as we try and hook into our new expedition!

We look forward to seeing you all shortly!

KS1 Version of The Snowman

In our English lessons over the last week we have looked at the book The Snowman by Raymond Briggs, as this is a picture book we put our own narrative to it.  We thought you might like to see your children in action!  Please note that if your child is not on the video, this is because they chose not to be videoed.

Enjoy

Merry Christmas!

We’ve finally made it after a long and eventful term! The children have had a fabulous Christmas in school and it rounded off what was a term of dedication and hard work. They have enjoyed their party at school today and played plenty of games (and won plenty of prizes!). To round it all off, they are taking home a sleigh bell from Santa’s sleigh after reading The Polar Express. Children with 100% attendance also earned an extra reward. Well done everyone!

Thank you to everyone for your support this term. Have a great break and I look forward to seeing you all in the new year.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Whole School Assembly – 2020 style

Adapting and changing has been the norm in 2020 and no more so when it comes to assemblies in bubbles!

Well done Mrs Ogle for organising our end of year whole school quiz! I wonder which class will be the winner?

Celebrate Reading

Massive shout out to the children in KS1 for continuing to read more at home and getting their books changed… we have now earned a fifth present from our ‘Book Flood’ incentive! Ryley unwrapped the gift this morning and children of KS1 will get to enjoy the new book.

Another impressive shout out to Lena. Our Yellow t-shirt winner who has now reached 200 minutes whilst reading at home. Lena received her platinum certificate and a prize for her continued dedication to read at home!

‘Tis the season to READ’

Well done all involved!

Pride of Plover.

We would like to send a massive congratulations to this week’s Pride of Plover winner. His determination to want to be the best he can be and his enthusiasm for learning is infectious. He has demonstrated for many weeks that he simply ‘gets’ what he needs to do to be the most successful learner he can be.

Well done Tommy!

Book flood!

Well done KS1 children for continuing to read more than normal at home and grown ups who encourage this. Another bauble has been earned today and put on the virtual Christmas tree… let’s see if we can get a flood of more books recorded and changed tomorrow!🙌🏼📚

Here is Lena (an avid reader) in 1M opening our 2nd present this morning!

Well done KS1, keep reading!
