Today we have taken the tune of two nursery rhymes we know, and created our own song lyrics. We used music to share what we know about how caterpillars grow and change. Here are our performances!

We walked to the woods to look for signs of spring.
We would like to thank everyone for the amazing turn out for our celebration of learning. Our Year 5&6’s have worked so hard this term. Our guiding question was ‘how can one moment influence our future’. We linked this to character traits and how just one moment of couarge can have such a big impact.
They then looked at a range of significant people and how they have used course to change: Rosa Parks, Emmeline Pankhurst and Martin Luther King all whom have had a significant impact on today’s society.
Our 5/6’s have also been inspired by Ben Parkinson and the courage he shows daily which is why our final product is dedicated to Ben.
We cannot wait to display our beautiful work in our local community.
Will you have courage to stand up for change? Capture your pledges to change on our Padlet here!

Some children had pancakes for breakfast, some children chose pancakes for pudding, we all made and ate pancakes for afternoon snack, and some might have pancakes for tea too. We learnt to make and mix the pancake batter. Then cooked the pancakes and enjoyed fresh orange juice or jam on top! #LovePlover
What a lovely afternoon out in the Spring sunshine! During outdoor provision, all of Crew Meade worked hard to rake, scrape, dig and pull out all the weeds, debris, dead roots and twigs in our planters. Then Crew Price came and helped by planting some daffodils bulbs! We can’t wait to see them grow… #LovePlover
This week our Pride of Plover winners go to Lucas and Lilly! Both children have been working extremely hard with their learning and have shown great progress.

F1 have enjoyed learning about Shrove Tuesday today. We learnt how to make pancakes and most of all, enjoyed eating them. We practised how to use our knife and fork and used lots of mathematical language, such as first/then/next.

2P have used our work on Dennis Wojtkiewicz to inspire us to produce watercolour paintings of different fruit cross sections. We worked extremely carefully and used different techniques and brushstrokes to create different effects. We did brilliantly!
