Today we have practised pencil grip/control in nursery, tracing over our names. Some children absolutely wow’ed me being able to copy their name underneath! What amazing work.

Today we had our first PE lesson, learning how to move our bodies in different ways – focussing on the fundamentals. Then some children enjoyed riding on their bikes and trikes. #LovePlover
All our nursery children are now in school, look how gorgeous some of our 15 hour children look in their uniforms! We have all done amazing at learning school routines and making new friends.

We are politely reminding parents in Year 5&6 the above activities/trip require payments. If we do not receive enough payments, we will be at risk of cancelling them. We try our best to keep costs as low as possible and really appreciate your support to allow us to offer these opportunities for your children.
The VR workshop is a fantastic and immersive experience which will give your children a real insight into what it would be like in numerous rainforests around the world. This information really supports our first case study in our current expedition.
Crucial crew is also another fantastic experience which supports our Year 6’s in life lessons, safety in and around the community, vital life-saving information linked to water safety, fire safety, how to stay safe online and much more.
We try to keep the costs of our trips as low as possible but we currently only have 30% of the payments needed to run both of these events.
Thank you for your continued support

Our character trait of the day was ‘Integrity’. We explored what the word could mean and what it would look like. We then went on a story hunt around the playground, where we followed clues to discover the next text. When we found it, we read the extract and discussed whether the character had integrity and what happened when they did or didn’t tell the truth.
We then looked at the poem, ‘I do what’s right’ and practised reading it. We talked about how it showed integrity. We decided to turn our poem into a rap and recorded the video. A great attempt after such a short practice!

To keep our Plover pantry running, we need parents and carers to attend to support us. The Plover pantry is accessible for all of our parents and carers. Our Plover pantry runs every Wednesday from 2:30pm. We really hope to see you there!

We have been working on the character trait compassion. Yesterday, we held our colour run and raised money for the RSPCA (our whole school charity) and for school funds. We are determined to support our school and wider community this year.
Thank you all for your support with the colour run, we hope your children enjoyed it!

Today’s character trait was all about compassion. We unpicked what this meant and then spent time using stories and discussions to work out what it might look like in the things that we do and say. We used our ideas to create our own, unique bingo card with lots of different ideas on it. We now have the challenge of doing all of the ideas so that we can tick them off and get bingo! I wonder how long it will take?
In the afternoon, we looked at the artist Keith Haring and used his work to create a compassion-themed piece of pop art. We had to show courage when we were cutting out some of the fiddly shapes and we did really well.
We ended the day with the colour run. Before it started, we were very lucky to have Mr Sprakes give us a speech and we were able to celebarate the amazing acts of compassion that our own Harris has been doing out of school during the summer. He has rasied almost ÂŁ1000 for charity and received a special prize. We then had a brilliant time getting messy and being active but it can be easy to forget that this was our way to raise money so that we can donate some of it to the RSPCA. Giving to others is the best form of compassion! Great work 2P!

How grown up do some of our new 30 hour nursery children look in their uniforms?! They have all settled in beautifully and done so well at following our school routines. I’m so excited for the year ahead!

Today’s character trait has been ‘compassion’.
As part of the day, we have shown compassion to our ‘Baby Eggs’, who needed clothing, shelter and care – we had great fun using our imagination to create them.
Then it was the colour run in aid of our school and chosen charity the RSPCA (that we learnt about yesterday). Despite a few early drops of rain, we had great fun turning ourselves into colourful rainbows!!
