We are geographers!

This afternoon we have worked in mini crews to compare the location that we live in with the city of Caracas – the capital city of Venezuela. There are both similarities and differences between these two locations. I wonder if there are any patterns which relate to the land use of these places.

I am proud of myself!

Our yellow t-shirt is being worn by Demi-Lea this week. She has so much drive to succeed and wants to progress in her learning as much as possible. This has not gone unnoticed. Just look at her smile…

We are authors!

There is a creative buzz around our room this morning while we begin to write the next chapter of our class novel. There have been some great storylines planned and I cannot wait to read the finished products later this week.

Plover Ambassadors

Our new Ambassadors had an exciting morning visiting XP East, where they had a tour of the school from their experienced school ambassadors. Our pupils really enjoyed the visit, the XP pupils were amazing and taught us how to make a tour interesting and fun. We can’t wait to start to show visitors around our school. Obviously, our first visitors will be XP East as we want them to critique our skills!

Running a little late?

Year 5 and 6 doors will open every morning at 8:45am. The Y6 door will close around 8:50am. Miss Hickey will be floating outside near the Y5 door until 9:00am. Should your child arrive between 8:50 and 9:00am, please use the Y5 door for entry into the building. Arrivals after 9:00am should enter through the school’s main office.

Thank you

Fantastic Fractions!

This morning in Year 6, we have completed posters to help us use the correct vocabulary when discussing Fractions.  We have noticed equivalences between them and used diagrams to represent them.  Awesome work year 6!
A shout out to Dalton and Ashton, who noticed the equivalences first.
