Deaf Awareness

6C and some of 6H have been familiarising themselves with this year’s sign a song challenge… ‘This is me’ from the Greatest Showman!

It was a great way to end the week and I can’t wait to practise it more in preparation for the video that will be made.

If anyone wants to join me at 1:15 (daily) for 10-15 minutes of practise, let me know and I shall organise corridor passes for you.

Below is a link to the video we are using if anyone wants to practise at home.

Well done Lucas!

Lucas has been working extremely hard on his writing this week. He has identified that he sometimes doesn’t create a detailed enough plan. So in crew, he made a pledge to be more specific with his plans and he has done exactly that! I am so proud of you Lucas and I can’t wait to read your finished piece!

6B’s yellow T-shirt winner

Well done to the lovely Darin who is just a little ray of sunshine! He always tackles everything head on with a huge smile on his face and he is just a pleasure to teach. We are very lucky to have him in 6B!

Super writing!

A shout out to Tilly and Kaycie who produced some awesome writing last week. I am so impressed with how enthusiastic both girls have been and how determined they have been to achieve their ME- well done girlies!

Competition Time!

The Junior Rangers from the Friends of Sandall Park are holding a competition to help to decorate and promote their notice board in Sandall Park. All you need to do is to create your own nature themed poster or nature themed poem and hand it in to your teachers before the deadline on 2nd July. There are prizes for the winning entries and your work will be displayed in the park! If you would like to find out any more information about the Junior Rangers, or would like to register your child with the group, please email [email protected].

Have fun!

Ice-pop sale!

Today we managed to raise £60 on our ice pop sale so thank you so much to everyone who bought one. Some children were too excited to eat their ice pops that they didn’t want a photo. We know some children had forgotten their money so please don’t worry, we will be selling ice pops again next week.
