English 3rd July

Good morning Key Stage One

Here is the poem we have used as a model this week

One black horse standing by the gate,

Two plump cats eating from a plate,

Three big goats, kicking up their heels,

Four pink pigs full of grunts and squeals,

Five white cows coming slowly home,

Six small chicks starting off to roam,

Seven fine doves perched upon the shed,

Eight grey geese eager to be fed,

Nine young lambs full of frisky fun,

Ten brown bees buzzing in the sun.

Today, using our list from Monday, we are going to write our own poem in the same format.

The video was too big to put on the Blog today but this link will take you straight to the video. (If you do have any problems, email [email protected] and Miss Lotysz can share this with you).

Here are my notes from my walk on Monday

Here is my poem – the pink is where I have edited it!

Please remember your poem does not need to rhyme!

The F2S Pride of Plover goes to…

Dania Ali again!

I have been so impressed with how happily and sensibly Dania has settled back into school. She always arrives with a smile on her face and works so hard at everything she does. In addition she is still working hard at home. Well done Dania!

3P Class Meet

Good morning 3P!

Another week has raced by and we get the chance to have our weekly, virtual get-together. I’m looking forward to catching up with you again and hearing what you have been up to this week. I have added the link below for you to join us but remember that it will only be there until the meeting ends! Tell any classmates that you have contact with to come and join us at 9.15am this morning. See you all shortly!

EDIT: Well I felt a little bit lonely this week! Maybe you can join me next week. It will be back at 9.30am again next week. See you then!

Now I want you to do some investigating.

I’m going to give you a series of questions on the next few slides. I want you to find out the answers for me.

End of the day

Isn’t this weather miserable? I’m really missing the sunshine!

Well done to everyone who has been in our online classrooms today, I’ve seen some great learning and I have loved to read the things you wrote in our Well being task. They really did make me smile.

Mrs Graves will be looking after the online classrooms tomorrow but I will be back on Monday and we will start looking at famous Tudor explorers. I hope you have a good evening.

Take care!

Thursday 2nd July

Good Morning – Thank you for all the work you have been submitting this week. Today is a rainy day so I’m sure you will enjoy filling your time with the lovely activities we have planned for you today.
Please go onto Times Tables Rockstars today and keep practising your times tables.

Keep sending me lovely photos of other things you are doing at home too!

4G Class meet tomorrow

Have a lovely day

Thursday 2nd July

Good morning everyone,

Well, my clock says it’s morning anyway but my eyes tell me it is bedtime.

I hope you enjoyed day one of your transition lessons yesterday, despite the few teething issues there were with access etc.  I hope everything runs a little smoother for you all today.

Please remember there is no expectation to complete learning from Plover for the next two days but come next week I expect to be hearing from you all again.

Shout out to Dominik, yet again, for sending me copies of his transition learning.

Have a great day everyone.

Mrs H 🙂
