Year 3 Online Learning – Wednesday 6th January

Hi everyone,

Here is the meeting link for live learning. These lessons are for Year 3 pupils only.

https://meet.google.com/lookup/hoty7b4arv

This link will not expire so you should use it for all learning on Wednesday 6th January. If you stop the camera for a break at break time then you come back for the next lesson using the same link.

Wednesday 6th January’s timetable is as follows (this is all on the original post by Mrs Graves but has expedition in the first slot tomorrow to launch the new expedition).

8.50am Crew check in and register for morning learning with Miss Lister and Miss Topliss
9.15am Expedition with Miss Topliss
10.30am Break
11am Maths with Miss Lister
12pm Lunch
1.15 Register for afternoon learning and English with Miss Topliss
2.15 Crew check out and daily HoWLs

When one teacher is teaching, the other teacher will be available to support with any technical help, extra support or anything else you might need at the computer. Just drop us a message so we can help either on the stream or via email. We know it is the first day and things might take a little bit of getting used to (try not to panic if something goes a little bit wrong) but we are really excited to see you and support you with your learning in this new way!

See you online!

Miss Topliss and Miss Lister

Superstars of 6H

Hi 6H,

I hope you all had an amazing Christmas with your families and had plenty of fun.

Please make sure that you are all online tomorrow morning at 8.45 for our morning check-in.  We will register you as we see you so please make sure that your cameras are actually on.  Lessons will be more formalised than they were during the last lockdown and your timetable has already been blogged by Miss Blackham earlier today.  Lessons will be delivered to you online by me or Mrs Chapman as Miss Blackham will be teaching your year group friends who are in school.

One last request from me: please be patient with us as there may be a few glitches along the way as we get used to live online teaching.

Shout Outs…

It was fabulous to see that Marsels and Kai joined our hangouts today so well done boys and also a shout out to Lexi for submitting some awesome learning today which Miss Blackham has blogged.

See you in the morning guys,

Mrs Haycock

Great Fire of London Art

Some super creativity and art from Lena, Peyton and Conor today who have completed todays home learning expedition activity. Lena has researched, written, drawn and built some amazing Fire of London representations. Peyton painted a fabulous silhouette of the London skyline. 10 Crew Coins to you all! Shout out to Nelly, Brooke, Ryley and Violet who made some fabulous Fire of London art too this afternoon.

It was great to see some of you virtually and we look forward to seeing you all tomorrow. I challenge you for our class to have the most check-in! It is very important we all access the remote learning sessions and then the google classroom activities from tomorrow!

Keep it up- see you all tomorrow at 8.50am online!

Google Hangouts

These are the hangout codes for our daily google hangouts. These hangouts are an essential part of your child’s school day. The morning hangout will be when I take our class register and set learning for the morning. Please start this hangout with your mic on mute until you are asked to unmute. It’s also really important that children take turns to speak.

The end of day session is an opportunity to share learning and questions but also may be a time for additional learning or stories.

I look forward to seeing you all online!

Who ate all our food?

It’s been a very quiet day today but we’ve had great fun solving the mystery of our visitor. We have looked carefully at the footprint and think that either a bear or the big bad wolf has had a midnight snack in our classroom. We have been very busy drawing pictures of our visitor and making posters to warn him not to eat our snacks!

What a start!

Despite the sudden switch to online learning, there have already been some excellent, creative examples of home learning for our new expedition ‘Is London still burning?’. Thank you to everyone who managed to get online today and have a go at some of the tasks. The live check-in will be at 9am tomorrow morning and then the live lessons will follow throughout the day. Please try and join us if you can. If you are having technical problems, please get in touch and we will help where we can.

Well done to Laci-Maee, Shayen and Tim in particular for you hard work today.

I hope to see you all again tomorrow!

Pyjama day

Just a reminder to all F2 children who will be in school tomorrow to wear pyjamas and bring your teddy so that you can draw a picture of it.

Thank you

Well done 5/6!

I just wanted to say a huge well done to all of you lovely lot for the hook week activities and work you have been sending in this morning! It has blown me away! From tomorrow, all learning will be live via google hangout. Our lessons will be just like they were in our classrooms, you’ll just be joining on your devices. Just a reminder to join our phase hangout today at 1:30pm so we can talk you through our timetable.

I am setting a challenge to see which class in our phase has the most engaged children online! I will be checking every day and at the end of each week I will announce the winners on our phase video!

Remember to stay safe, contact us if you need anything and please, please keep sharing any additional work you complete so we can celebrate your beautiful work on our blogs!

We miss you and we are proud of you #Crew5/6
