Peepo! Sequencing on a storymap

This morning we will be sharing the story of Peepo by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. I wonder if you’ve read any other stories by these two?
You can listen to the story on our morning hangout and will also find it on youtube via the link attached. After you have heard the story, think about the rooms and places the baby visits. Do you have the same rooms in your house?
Your task today is to create a storymap, sequencing the pictures from the story. You can either print off the pictures (shared in evidence me) or draw your own. Can you label each picture?
Remember to send me a picture of your storymap and save it for tomorrow’s session.
Tip – make it big and leave room to add to it.

Well done Year 4!

Well done guys, I thoroughly enjoyed our online learning today. You are contributing so well and your behaviour online was very good. You are listening to each other really well.

Shout out to Pranav and Shyaw, I was blown away when you completed your work and then came online, asking if anyone needed coaching – TRUE CREW!!!

Shout out as well to Mathew – fabulous effort with your learning all day and I love how you contribute your ideas so sensibly in the comments box.

And for those of you I haven’t mentioned – you are making me very, very proud – well done, keep it up!

Looking forward to seeing you in the morning,

Mrs Graves

Shout Outs for 1/2C

Whoop Whoop!

We did it guys!

Yesterday we had all of our class either working online or in class.  This is an amazing achievement.  Remember even though not all of you are in school, if you are working on line and attending live lessons it shows on your attendance.  I know you all enjoyed your McDonalds, if we keep this up, when we all get back together, we will be on target for more treats.

Today we only had a couple of you not signing in, come on guys don’t let the crew down, Get logged on daily!

I want to give a Plover Praise shout out to many of you, but today it’s going to Darcy (and his mum!)  Darcy has created some fabulous sentences, explaining his answers in both Expedition and English lessons, his mum is always on hand to help others during our remote session – true crew.

Also, I want to praise Kodish for his creative way of writing the split digraph i_e, all from things he could find at home!  Hope this has given you some ideas of your own.

You are making me proud 1/2C

Keep safe and healthy everyone, we miss those of you that are working remotely.

Mrs Coward and the KS1 Crew.

Learning about the continents in Y3!

Well done to those children who logged on today in Year 3! I am proud of each and every one of you. You all took me by surprise when you logged back on for our HoWLs and every person brought back their super expedition learning. Thank you so much for the effort you put in to this afternoon. If you have any photos, please send them. These are the ones that I have received so far. Thank you to Jude, Angel, Lily-Grace, Frazer, Eva and Kayden! Keep up the great work Year 3. #loveplover

Shout outs!

Well done to all those who are accessing their learning, whether you are in school or accessing online, I am very proud of you all.

I want to give a shout out to Shyaw, I’ve heard fantastic things about your online learning and how you even coached your friends online as well. I also want to give a shout out to Floyd, for consistently good behaviour throughout the school day.

Keep up the great work 4L!

Well done Year 5

It has been great to see so many people online both checking in and joining the online lessons. We had a guest presenter today – Mrs Haycock. She was really impressed with your enthusiasm and work that you sent in. I have seen some great art work so I thought I would share! This is Ksawery’s and William D’s. Keep logging on Year 5 and keep learning 😉

We are bears!

Today we have been making bear masks. We have been practicing holding scissors correctly and cutting along a line.

I think you all look Grrrrrreat!

Superstar

Our postcard went to Sofia today. She has been so kind and caring and has made sure everyone had their water bottle. She has also been speaking lots to other children and responding to them

Well done Sofia. We are so proud of you.

Great work so far Year 3 and 4

I just wanted to do a ‘shout out’ to all the children in year 3 and 4 who have been logging on and completing work. You really are becoming experts in using classrooms and have make such progress since last Wednesday. Well done -I’m sure you can teach the grown ups a thing or two now.

We have had some lovely practical learning being completed at home and in school to support our Natural Disasters expedition, with the home made volcanoes coming along very nicely. I can’t wait till next week when we start being scientists and completing experiments with them. Advanced notice for next week, you will need some vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and if possible (but not essential) some red or orange food colouring. If you can’t get hold of that, some Coca Cola and a mint will work too.

We have decided to celebrate learning at 2pm Friday afternoon, by turning Plover Praise time into our very own ‘Plover Virtual Disco’ – so get your party clothes on, do your hair and get ready to boogie!

Check out our wonderful volcanoes – you still have time to make your own ready for our ‘explosive’ experiments next week.
