Pumpkin play
As itās almost halloween we explored a pumpkin today. The children enjoyed making pumpkin chapatis, pumkin cakes and counting the seeds. We also used our senses to understand what pumpkins look, feel and smell like.

Making chapatis
Today we made some chapatis after looking at the story chapati moon. The children enjoyed reading and following the recipe, then tasting them afterwards.

We can debate!
The power of persuasionā¦ Should we be spending millions on space travel? Today, we watched a debate which answered this question. We were then able to use precise and specific word choices in our own short yet persuasive arguments which gave our views.

Making chapatis
As part of our learning about the story Chapati moon we read a recipe today and made chapatis. Lots of the children liked them and some made 2! We talked about safety around the pan and hob and the children were very sensible.

Our postcard went to Kobin today for fantastic effort in blending. He has tried really hard over the last few days to blend sounds in words together.

Dersimās awesome leading of her own learning! 🌟
Dersim challenged herself in maths this morning. She led her own learning by using our teacher model video to support her working through fluency, reasoning and problem solving questions. By using the teacher model, she was able to identify her misconception and work through it to get to the correct answer. What a superstar! 10 crew coins!
