This week will end with a celebration of those who look after our children at home. The children have been working hard, to make a card for those at home, to say thank you for all of your hard work. We hope that you like it!

We had lots of enthusiastic children coming into school today. Our feelings check in was made up of happy and excited children who were very eager to talk with and play with their friends.
We thought about how we can motivate each other in our learning and recapped what it means to be a crew.
We have begun creating Polar bear stories based on We’re going on a bear hunt. We will be adding to them tomorrow.
My shout out today goes to Emma who helped Edy in maths. Edy said she was unsure what to do next. Emma showed her and then encouraged her to do it on her own. Excellent coaching Emma – well done.

We have had a fantastic day. I can’t wait to see your finished stories.

I am so pleased to hear that all of Foundation 1 were back at school today. Well done to everyone, as you all came in positively and with a great attitude! What a super way to start school again.
We had a great day celebrating books at Plover. There were all sorts of characters walking around from Gangsta Granny to Mr and Mrs Twit; Mary Poppins and Wonky Donkey; Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf in Grandma’s clothing- plus lots, lots more!
We had lots of potato photos for the potato character competition and some great reviews on the Padlet – check out the books that have been recommended – they are bound to make you LOL!
Our Masked Reader competition was very popular – well done to Harper in 4G for correctly identifying all 20 of the Masked Readers
We have lots of photos of the day so check out our World Book Day Website for many more: https://sites.google.com/ploverschool.co.uk/ploverworldbookday2021/home
We have been finding out about Lydia Monks. She is the lady who illustrated What the ladybird heard. We have watched her teach how to draw the characters in the story. We used what she taught us draw the characters oursleves.
Look a this amazing art work.

Well done F2 artists

For World Book Day we have been looking at the book What the ladybird heard by Julia Donaldson. We have joined in with the story and the rhyme. We have made ladybirds and ladybird hats and completed some ladybird maths. We have had a lovely day.

Well done to our 2 superstars in F2 who got Pride of Plover this week.
Helen-Rose has worked really hard especially in large group time and Mrs Shuka is so impressed with the effort that she has put in.
Marnie has been very kind and helpful to a new child in our class, explaining routines and showing him what to do. We are very proud of you Marnie and your friends chose you too.

Well done girls
