We have been learning about the story of the nativity. We have been re-enacting it through role-play with masks and in our small world. We have also enjoyed cutting and colouring our own puppets in the creative area.
A shout out goes to Shay for amazing progress in his writing. He tried very hard to write the letters correctly Ā and was very proud to share it with his friends.
Well done Shay.

Eldie the Elf
Mrs Gilbert found a letter from Eldie the Elf in the woods saying he couldnāt get back to Santa. Ā The children were very excited to help Eldie. They wrote letters and made him parcels. They particularly enjoyed making magic fairy dust to transport him back to Santa. I hope Santa or Eldie reply tomorrow!

We had lots of fun exploring different ways that we can make 10. We learnt that the amount stayed the same but we could make it in different ways. We said the equations using plus/add as well as equal to. We did all this whilst playing with Octonauts which were swimming in water in fish tanks.
Following this, some of the children wrote their number bonds.
A shout out goes to Charlie who went on to explore the different ways that he could make 10. He predicted that there would be 9 ways. “I think there are 11 ways to make 10.”
Well done Charlie.

Well done to Bobby. Bobby has been working very hard. He has tried to meet and then exceed his minimum expectation. He is kind and helpful and has started coaching his friends and explaining learning to them.
Hi everyone
Next term EYFS will be learning about “Where do bears live?” for their expedition. We will be creating bears. If any one has any old brown/beige fabric that we could use we would appreciate it. We will need to quarantine anything brought in so would appreciate it before Christmas.
We would also like the following:
buttons
ribbon
tubes from wrapping paper
fur
story character dressing up – Goldilocks particularly
We will be learning about old teddies. If anyone has an old teddy that we could borrow to compare to new teddies we would appreciate it. We will make sure that it is looked after.
Thank you
EYFS team
