Using my knowledge of pirate maps

This is a good example of what you could do with your learning. Ellis had enjoyed making pirate treasure maps. He made a map of his garden which his mummy then added to with directions. Ellis pretended to be the pirate and found the treasure at the end.

Maybe you could have a go at making a treasure map today.

Well done.

Another week is over and there is just time to do one final set of shout-outs for more excellent learning.

Reading and book reviews have been the main focus today and there have been some excellent, detailed reviews from Arwa, Shyaw and Anez in 3L and Shashank, Pranav, Alfie, Troy and James in 3P. Well done to all of you.

I have also received an excellent entry to the Tudor house competition from Esther. She decided to get creative and build her Tudor house design on Minecraft. What a brilliant idea! Take a look:

There are some brilliant challenges and competitions ready for next week’s learning so make sure you check back on Monday to see what is happening. In the meantime, enjoy your weekend and keep safe.

Time for the weekend!

Thank you to everyone who has contributed and worked so hard on your learning in the classroom today. I have seen some great reflection and analysis of different diary entries. Next week, you will have the chance to use all of the skills you have been learning in a final write.

One amazing piece of learning that I have to share with you today is from Pranav. Having studied the Tudor family tree earlier in the week, he has now created his own family tree. It is awesome – well done Pranav!

Remember that the classroom is closed over the weekend. It is really important that you have a well earned break and remember that you are not expected to be working late into the evening. Aim to be online during normal school hours only.

Enjoy the weekend and see you again on Monday.

Busy Day!

It has been a really hectic day looking after children in school and keeping up with the fabulous learning you have all been doing over in the classroom!

In 3P There have been some lovely diary entries based on the class text. Alfie, Shashank and Cole used some lovely word choices to make their entries very realistic and enjoyable to read. This is Cole’s entry:

In 3L, Arwa, Nikita and Phoebe also used the text to write excellent character descriptions of the chef. Well done!

Remember that the finger spelling challenge is now running. I saw Jamilia do a brilliant job in school and she managed to get to level 3 so far. Can you beat her? She is working on reaching Level 5 by the end of the week. There are prizes up for grabs!

Have a great evening.
