Kindness Badges

The children enjoyed creating their own kindness badges as part of anti bullying week, last week. We drew on our badge something that made us happy and discussed what it means to be kind.

Pride Of Plover

Elaf has our yellow T-shirt this week. She has settled into her new school beautifully, engaging more in activities and happily separating from mum. She is also becoming more confident in playing alongside peers.

We Are Artists

Today we made paper plate hedgehogs! We used a fork and paint to create the spikes, then added a nose and eye. We also had scissor practise by making snips in the top of the plate to create a spikes affect. We discussed how hedgehogs are nocturnal and hibernate inside their spikes for protection.

Diwali

Today we have been celebrating Diwali. We have made diva lamps and enjoyed decorating them. We then lit them up and discussed how Diwali is the festival of light. We have also been making rangoli patterns and doing some dancing.

Remembrance Day

We have been learning about why people wear poppies on Remembrance Day and the reason behind the two minutes silence. We printed our own poppies using a paint and a sponge and then put glitter on, to remember the soldiers.
