We explained and learnt about how to stay safe online, whenever using our iPads, tablets, grown ups phones etc.
If something POPS UP onto your screen don’t click on it, STOP and TELL A GROWN UP – it could be unsafe and scary! So we made crazy pop ups to help remind us. #LovePlover
Doncaster Knights have given Plover 50 FREE U16 tickets with a paying adult, for their next home game at Castle Park, Armthorpe Saturday 15th February.
Please call in at the school office to collect them on a first come first serve basis! #LovePlover
What a swimming spectacular we have enjoyed this morning. The Plover crew swam their hearts out, showing great resilience and sportsmanship. Well done to the children who won medals! We can’t wait for next year’s… #LovePlover
Today we have been scientists and learnt what plants need to grow. We discussed if we need the same/different things to help us grow. Shout out to Aaron this morning who said “plants and children are both living things”.
This afternoon we acted out how plants grow with Mrs Bubb. We started of as the tiny seed, and grew into a beautiful plant. We remembered that the roots go down and the shoots go up.
We hope to see you at 2:30pm for our weekly Plover pantry. You can grab a bag of shopping for £2 and you are also welcome to stay afterwards for a cup of tea and some biscuits!
Years 3 and 4 have been playing around with the story ‘Funny Bones’ today. We noticed there was a lot of repetition in the book so decided to re-write a section of it. The word ‘dark’ was banned though, so we had to find as many synonyms for this word as possible!
Keep thinking about different ways to say the same thing. That way, your writing will become so much more exciting and your understanding of vocabulary will soar!
Well done to everyone who was awarded ‘Pride of Plover’ last week. You worked hard, got smart and were all very kind too. What more can we ask of you? Nothing! Keep it up. I wonder who will be awarded this week?
We have been working hard to investigate different materials; finding out if they are insulators or conductors. Then we have used our scientific knowledge to work as writers and produce a full scientific report.
Keep your curiosity growing folks and the conductors will keep the electricity flowing!
