2P have been busy exploring numbers and the number system and recognising the tens and ones digits in 2-digit numbers. We have made numbers with different resources and identified the parts and wholes of different numbers. We are now exploring how we can use this knowledge to identify numbers on number lines. Great work!
Thank you to Gareth from #LiteracyKicks #SportingHeritage #WomenInRugbyLeague for leading a Rugby League journalism workshop with our Y5/6 children! The children were immersed in the rise of women’s rugby league, due to the Hall of Fame 1996 Lionesses team! We were lucky to have Jill Adam a local inspirational role model who was an integral part of that team! The children wrote some awesome articles! #LovePlover
Thank you to all of our lovely parents, carers, pupils and staff who have donated to our bake sale. We hope to see you there! All money raised will go to Macmillan!

This week we have been very busy collaging milk bottles to create our own Elmer elephants. We used our motor skills to independently spread the glue onto the bottle, chose which collage pieces to put where and used coloured eye stickers to stick either side of the trunk. We read the Elmer story together and discussed what patterns we could see.
In We Care Crew, we began our learning about families. To kick this off, we played a relay game where each team had to run and find a picture of a family until all our team members had found one. We stuck all the pictures onto a big poster and talked about how all families look a bit different. We discussed how this was okay and that there will be some families with two Mummies, Two Daddies, A Mummy and/or a Daddy, Step-parents, Grandparents, Aunties and Uncles- lots of different families but the same love ❤️
F2M created our ‘Perfectly Crew Meade – This Is Us’ collage – which represents everyone, diversity and our we care Wednesday motto ‘Different Families, One Love’ where we discussed how some people have different family dynamics. This all links to our compassion character trait for our colour run tomorrow!
If anyone is interested in joining our PTA or have already spoken to Miss or Mrs Blackham about this- we would love to meet you next Tuesday for our first meeting.
Anyone who cannot attend, please let me know and we can inform you of the meeting notes.
