A visit of the heritage bus

Thank you to South Yorkshire Transport Museum for bringing the heritage bus to school today. The children enjoyed exploring the bus and asked lots of questions. They particularly enjoyed seeing the old ticket machine. Afterwards they made a bus in the classroom and pretended to go on a journey.

Tasting fruit

Thank you to our school cook Mrs Williams who helped us today. We tasted different fruit from the story Handa’s Surprise and some other fruit too.

We thought that the pineapple and the watermelon were delicious. Some of us liked the pomegranate.

Keeping the beat

In expedition today the children practiced playing djembes. They used their hands to create a rhythm and keep the beat. They played enthusiastically too!

Sequencing a story

This week F2 are comparing the story of Red Riding Hood to Handa. They are looking at the journeys that the girls went on and what they did. The children have been sequencing the events in the story and talking about what is the same and different.
