We have been very lucky today to have 2 different coaching sessions in PE. The children have learnt lots of games and have joined in really well.
The coaches were impressed with Maisie and John-Boy.
Kaiden-John was a superstar in maths as he spotted patterns in numbers and said all the numbers to 100.

As part of our end of year treat the children chose a building kit. Today they worked together to assemble it. They also created story books and worked together to tell the stories.

In maths today we thought about whether numbers are odd or even and if they are a double. Some children used manipulatives, some used their fingers and some worked it out in their heads.
There was a lot of talk about the numbers.
These were some of the reasons.
It is odd because it doesn’t have afriend.
It is odd because it isn’t the same on each side. It means it isn’t a double.
This is a double because if you split it in the middle it makes 3 and 3.
I know it is a double because 5 and 5 makes 10 and that is the same.

The children chose a summer treat and they chose to have a party. They had party food, played some games and have some new books and building equipment. We are looking forward to sharing the stories next week.
