A new term meant a new sport to learn the skills of and this term, year 4 are going to be learning how to play cricket/rounders. Today, they spoke about how to hit the wicket by bowling the ball. They practiced that and worked with each other to improve their throwing and bowling skills. Next, the bats came into play and after being shown how to properly hold the bat, the teams played small games of cricket where the aim was to hit the wicket. They worked incredibly hard today!

Our day two hook was an active walk through Intake, our local community. We explored some of Intakes landmarks and found out some historic information about Danum Secondary School, Sandall Beat Woods, Doncaster Racecourse and Doncaster Deaf Trust. Thank you to the parent helpers for your support and well done to all of the children who walked, talked, asked and answered lots of questions – linking to our previous expeditions as well as our current expedition!
