Last week we had a very special visitor from the book ‘The Great Fairytale Disaster’. We noticed wolf footprints in the classroom and saw videos of Wolfy around our playground. We have a few letters Wolf had written and the children wanted to help. They wrote kind messages to Wolf, made him food and built him a house to live in as his had been blown down! #LovePlover

Expert Author and Illustrator: Phil Sheppard
What. A fantastic morning we had today, hearing from a real life author and illustrator! He inspired many of us to make our own characters and stories up. Watch this space in the coming weeks to see what we came up with! #loveplover

Well done to Kylan. He has worked so hard this week on his learning, but more importantly is trying hard to settle into his longer school days and be calmer around school. #LovePlover

Well done to Charlotte for showing determination and resilience this week in her learning. We loved how she persevered when things didn’t go well. Well done Charlotte.

Sail away, sail away, sail away!
Today, some children made their boats to help the gingerbread man cross the river! Some children wanted to add safety features so the fox could not get to him! They selected their own resources and used all their own ideas. It was lovely to hear them communicating and extending their ideas together. We are engineers!
Showing resilience
Charlotte has shown resilience and perseverance this afternoon. She tried to make a model but it kept falling down. She used different resources and tried different ways to make it work. Well done Charlotte.

Helping the Gingerbread Man
Yesterday the children planned how they could help the Gingerbread Man. Today they made their models to help him cross the river. We had bridges, a climbing frame and some aeroplanes.

Expert Baker: Grandma Sherene
Yesterday, Grandma Sherene came to bake Gingerbread men with us. We followed instructions and took turns. They were delicious! Thank you so much for coming to help us Grandma Sherene! Gladly, they didn’t run away like they did in our story.
F2 PE Fun
We moved like the characters from The Gingerbread Man, we played Gingerbread Man tig, then we played lots of different games. Showcasing our striking and ball skills we’ve developed this half term! #LovePlover
