What a beautiful morning it was, so idyllic and picturesque. It was the perfect snow day! No icy paths, no sludge on the roads, just glistening white snow sitting softly on the grass and floating on the trees. So we went outside and had a massive snowball fightā¦ the children vs Mr Meade. I wonder who won? Then we built a tiny crew snow bear. Brrrrrriliant! #LovePlover

F2 Pride of Plovers
A huge well done to Reuben and Riley this week on being our pride of Plovers. Both children have had such a calm week, being very kind and helpful to others and our learning provisions. They also have been working really hard on their phonics, now knowing more sounds and writing the letters to match. #LovePlover
We’re going on a bear hunt in F2BP
We have had a wonderful day. We started off the day by listening to the story “We’re going on a bear hunt.” The children designed caves for the bear.
We then went outside for an XP outdoor session. The children had hot chocolate and biscuits around the campfire. They had remembered how to keep safe. Mrs Robertson reshared the story.
The children came inside and made some amazing bear caves. We had them everywhere – under tables, on the carpet and on the tables. They were made of blankets, cups, boxes, paper, bricks and sticks.
In the afternoon, we used the outdoor area to recreate the story and pretend we were the people in the story.
What an amazing day.

Weāre Going On A Bear Hunt – Campfire Style
Today we have snuggled up around a real camp fire, whilst enjoying hot chocolate and biscuits that Mrs Robertson had very kindly made for us on the fire. We read one of our key texts, āWeāre going on a bear huntā, and then this afternoon used outdoor equipment to re tell the story using props. #LovePlover
Designing Caves
Weāre Going On A Bear Hunt – uh ohhhā¦ a cave!
The children came up with some great adjectives to describe a cave: spooky, rocky, muddy, scary, cold, dark, gloomy, dirty. Then in provision the children enjoyed designing and making their own caves – with things that the bear might like to have in their cave. #LovePlover
Shine Your Light – F2 Glow Party
We finished last week with a vibrant, exciting glow party to conclude our slice on Diwali and festive celebrations! #LovePlover
Crew Meade Pay Their Respects
In crew last Thursday, we talked about real life heroes and soldiers who have lost their lives, been injured or fought in wars. We discussed how it is important to celebrate and remember these kind people, as part of Remembrance Sunday. We spoke about the significance of a poppy and made our very own poppy hand wreath. Abbie and Mustafa respectfully laid our wreath today in assembly, as we had a whole school 2-minute silence. #LovePlover
Fire Fighter Experts in F2
Amongst all the craziness and celebrations last week. We had an awesome visit from two expert firefighters and their amazing fire truck! The children had a safety talk about bonfire night and fireworks. Then they found out why firefighters are so kind and help people in their jobs. Before exploring the fire truckās cool equipment and spraying the giant hose! #LovePlover
