In gymnastics today, we continued to explore floor movements. We practised teddy bear rolls and some children were able to complete forward rolls too. Others need to continue working on their rocking and teddy bear rolls to help develop with their forwards roll. #LovePlover

Drawing Flowers
As part of our final product children will be creating some beautiful art work for their wildflower seed packets. This afternoon we created a model and then the children practiced drawing their flower pictures! #LovePlover

What do plants need?
The children shared some great answers and recognised that we need to care for plants, putting seeds in soil, letting them have space to grow, exposure to air and water, sunlight and warmth. #LovePlover
7 little ducks went swimming one day
Today in maths we were thinking of the different ways that we could make 7. In provision the children demonstrated how they could make 7.

Safer Internet Day – F2 Pop Ups
We explained and learnt about how to stay safe online, whenever using our iPads, tablets, grown ups phones etc.
If something POPS UP onto your screen don’t click on it, STOP and TELL A GROWN UP – it could be unsafe and scary! So we made crazy pop ups to help remind us. #LovePlover
Parts of a Plant
Yesterday we looked at the different parts of a plant. We learnt how a plant grows from a seed into a seedling, then sprouts into a stem, grows leaves and the bud then opens to create the flower. #LovePlover
Don’t touch the pop-up
Today we started getting ready for Safer Internet Day. We read a story about gremlins and pop-ups. The children learnt “Stop, close, tell.” They made their own gremlin to remind them to keep safe.

Creating a flower
We created flowers in different ways this morning, remembering the parts of the plant.
Some children created with blocks, some painting and some drawing.
Have a look at our creations.

It starts with a seed
We listened to the story ‘it starts with a seed’. Children asked questions and wrote predictions about what might happen to our broad bean seed. Then we started our experiment, by putting damp paper towels into a plastic bottle and sliding 5 broad beans down the side. We will leave it in the sunlight, to keep it warm and water it daily… To see how things grow! #LovePlover
